May 5 First Day of Classes May 19 Victoria Day - NVIT Campuses Closed

Blooming Together: April Growth for NVIT and Indigenous Learners April at NVIT was a month of growth, opportunity, and connection. Career Fairs were hosted at both the Vancouver and Merritt campuses, with the Merritt event organized in partnership with Citxw Nlaka'pamux Assembly, offering students and community members valuable networking opportunities with employers. NVIT also welcomed a visit from Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan), where Indigenous practices and their integration into new programs were shared, highlighting NVIT’s commitment to Indigenous education and leadership. These activities reflect NVIT’s continued dedication to supporting the development and success of Indigenous learners.

WHAT HAPPENED ON CAMPUS? Career Fairs Connect Students to New Opportunities at NVIT This spring, NVIT hosted two vibrant Career Fairs, offering students and community members the chance to explore employment and career pathways with a variety of organizations.

On April 4th, the Vancouver campus welcomed 16 exhibitors, many of which were Indigenous organizations dedicated to supporting Indigenous employment and development. Students, alumni, and members of the public engaged
