From career fairs to cultural celebrations, the month was a whirlwind of activity, engagement, and learning opportunities for students and faculty alike. April 4: Career Fair at Vancouver Campus The month kicked off with a buzz of professional opportunities as the Vancouver campus played host to a dynamic career fair. Employers from various sectors, including esteemed organizations like the Government of BC - Attorney General - Court Services Branch, Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society, Vancouver Coastal Health, and more, graced the event to engage with eager students seeking potential career paths. It was a prime opportunity for networking, exchanging ideas, and exploring future prospects in diverse fields.

April 9: NVIT at Education and Career Fair in Merritt A pivotal event in April was NVIT’s participation in the Education and Career Fair hosted by the Citxw Nlaka'pamux Assembly (CNA) at the Merritt Civic Centre. With a commitment to fostering education and career development in the local community, NVIT showcased its programs and opportunities, providing valuable insights to attendees seeking to embark on their academic and professional journeys. April 10: Elders' Goody Day In a heartwarming tradition, April marked the final Elders' Goody Day of the academic year. This cherished event, deeply rooted in Indigenous culture, honoured the wisdom and guidance of elders within the NVIT community. It was a time of connection, sharing stories, and appreciating the invaluable contributions of elders in shaping the institution's ethos.
