The fees for all activities will be charged via the Alexia invoice. Withdrawals must be processed before the 20th of each month for the following month, due to the preparation of the billing run. The October billing run will include one and a half months’ fees (half of September and October).
Activities taking place during the school day will be coordinated with the midday service across the different stages.
A minimum of 8 pupils is required to run each activity. The school will endeavour to organise activities so that they are compatible with attending more than one.
The timetables proposed in the dossier are indicative and may be subject to changes when forming groups.
Sports activities must be carried out in the school sports uniform. The required taekwondo equipment will be specified by the instructor and may be purchased at the taekwondo club.
For padel activities, a racket will be required.
For federated football teams, the club will inform participants about the competition kit.
Activities will start on Monday 14 September and will finish on the last day of the school year.

This activity focuses on the development of basic motor skills such as walking, running, jumping and throwing, as well as improving coordinative and physical abilities, including balance, orientation, strength, speed, endurance and flexibility. Through play, learning and socialisation are encouraged, allowing pupils to acquire values such as respect, cooperation and acceptance of rules, progressing from simple games to more structured ones.
This discipline is introduced in a playful way and within an environment of respect and cooperation, with a particular emphasis on flexibility, coordination and sense of rhythm. Pupils learn basic elements such as jumps, turns and balances, as well as being introduced to apparatus such as balls, hoops and ribbons. This enables them to perform small choreographies adapted to music, applying the techniques acquired progressively.
TAEKWONDO
This activity allows pupils to begin in this sport by learning its basic rules, as well as fundamental attack and defence techniques and scoring methods. Physical abilities and coordination are also developed, promoting values such as discipline, self-control and respect. It also encourages the acceptance of both victory and defeat as part of the learning process in a fun and healthy environment. Furthermore, pupils may take part in competitions and work towards officially recognised belt certifications, contributing to motivation, recognition of progress and personal development within the discipline.
This activity aims for pupils to enjoy sport while developing motor skills and adapting to the use of padel equipment. Technical and tactical abilities are developed progressively, supporting learning and performance improvement. All of this takes place in a fun and healthy environment that encourages participation and inclusion.
There is the option to book family padel lessons in two time slots: from 9:00 to 10:00 and from 15:30 to 17:00. Sessions may be individual or in groups of 2, 3 or up to 4 people. Organisation is flexible, with dynamic groups formed weekly according to participants, allowing adaptation to different levels and needs.
We aim to form both female and male padel teams to take part in leagues such as Bullpadel or Interclubs. A fixed weekly training session will be scheduled, with matches played at weekends. This activity enables pupils to learn and improve football technical and tactical skills, while promoting values such as discipline, teamwork, fair play and a competitive spirit. It also supports physical fitness, personal development, and self-confidence, contributing to pupils’ overall development both on and off the pitch.
Additionally, there is the option to join a federated team for official competitions, as well as the possibility of participating in a football team as an extracurricular activity without federation, adapting to different interests and levels. Through movement to music, pupils develop their psychomotor growth, focusing on posture control, coordination and memory. This activity enhances body expression, physical and mental balance, as well as artistic sensitivity. It also encourages socialisation and improves self-confidence in a creative and dynamic environment.
Basketball promotes pupils’ overall development, with particular attention to improving sport-specific technical skills (ball handling, passing, shooting and defence) and physical fitness. Through practice, key concepts such as cooperation, opposition, and teamwork are developed, essential for tactical understanding. It also enhances motor intelligence and decision-making in real game situations.
This activity allows pupils to begin and progress in handball, learning its technical and tactical fundamentals as well as basic rules. Through dynamic sessions, skills such as passing, shooting, defence and coordination are developed.
It also promotes values such as teamwork, respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship. Practising handball contributes to physical fitness, agility and decision-making in a fun, active and motivating environment.
This activity enables pupils to begin and progress in hockey, learning its technical and tactical fundamentals as well as basic rules. Through dynamic exercises and activities, skills such as stick handling, ball control, passing, and shooting are developed. It also promotes values such as teamwork, respect, discipline, and fair play.

Regular chess practice improves attention and concentration, helping to structure thinking and develop cognitive skills. It also encourages social interaction, fosters commitment and teaches how to manage setbacks, contributing to pupils’ personal and emotional development.
There is also the opportunity to participate in national school chess championships, as well as to join the competition school held on Fridays, aimed at further improving playing level and strategic preparation.
Drama is presented as a tool that supports pupils’ overall development, stimulating imagination, creativity and emotional expression. Through theatre, children experience enriching situations that help them grow personally and socially, promoting communication, empathy and self-confidence.
In this activity, pupils develop their musical creativity while learning the fundamentals of piano.
Lessons are delivered individually in 30-minute one-to-one sessions with the piano teacher, allowing fully personalised teaching adapted to each pupil’s pace and level.
If you play an instrument, this activity offers the opportunity to join the Julio Verne School Band. The aim is to create a stable group that rehearses together, fostering coordination, active listening and teamwork.
The band will take part in both internal and external events, allowing pupils to experience playing in a group and showcase their talent. It also contributes to musical development, responsibility, and motivation in a creative and collaborative environment.
This workshop is designed to enhance pupils’ creativity through different artistic techniques. Participants experiment, explore and develop their imagination, producing artistic outcomes that boost confidence and expressive ability.
This activity provides a creative space where pupils can explore the world of comics from an artistic and expressive perspective. Through drawing and storytelling, participants learn to create their own stories, developing characters, plots and graphic styles.
It encourages creativity, imagination and personal expression while developing skills such as planning, concentration and visual communication. It also promotes teamwork and confidence in one’s own ideas in a dynamic and motivating environment.

ROBOTICS 2.0
This activity allows pupils to advance in robotics using LEGO platforms, combining building and programming more complex models. Through practical projects, logical thinking, problem-solving and technological creativity are developed.
Concepts of engineering, mechanics, and programming are explored dynamically, fostering teamwork, independence, and innovation, while encouraging interest in STEM subjects.
This activity aims for pupils to learn to type quickly and accurately with correct posture. Through practical and interactive exercises, they improve finger placement, increase typing speed and reduce errors, while developing concentration, coordination and mental agility.
The speech therapy service is organised following the identification and assessment of pupils’ specific needs by the guidance team and teaching staff. Once the need for intervention is identified, families are informed for awareness and consent. Sessions are individualised, lasting 30 or 45 minutes depending on pupils’ needs, and take place between 12:30 and 15:00, ensuring personalised support for each pupil’s development.

This activity is aimed at secondary pupils who wish to prepare for and strengthen their English level for Cambridge qualifications. Afternoon classes focus on all language skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing, as well as practical grammar and vocabulary use.
The approach is dynamic and adapted to each level, providing strategies to successfully pass official exams while building confidence and independent learning.
