The Master in Public Policy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy has had a positive impact on both my career and personal development. Master in International Affairs (MIA)
NUS has adopted a cohort-based fee system. Tuition fees for new students admitted in AY2026/2027 are anticipated to be published between April and June 2026 on www.lkyspp.nus.edu.sg/graduate-admissions/fees-and-funding . Fee amounts quoted here for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are exclusive of prevailing GST. The applicable GST is subsidised by the Ministry of Education (MOE). Fee amounts quoted here for International Students are inclusive of prevailing GST. International Students will have to bear the prevailing GST (currently 9%) levied on the fees payable by them. Students who have previously enjoyed government subsidy or sponsorship by a Singapore government agency (such as scholarships offered by the Ministries, Public Service Commission and Statutory Boards) in a graduate programme will not be eligible for Ministry of Education (MOE) subsidy in another graduate programme at the same or lower level. Instead, such students will be liable to pay “Non-Subsidised Fees”, inclusive of prevailing GST. For example, students who had previously enjoyed subsidies/scholarship in a Master programme and had attained the Master degree will not be eligible for subsidies in another programme at Master or lower level. With effect from AY2025/2026, students who accept the offer of admission to the MIA programme, will need to pay an Acceptance fee of S$5,500 (inclusive of 9% GST). Acceptance fees will be applied towards tuition fees. Acceptance fees are non-refundable and nontransferrable. From AY2024/2025 to AY2026/2027, incoming Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents will receive a 40% tuition fee rebate, while international students who are NUS alumni will receive a 20% rebate, for self-funded programmes only (i.e. Master in International Affairs). These rebates are applicable only to students who are not sponsored. Students should ensure that they have sufficient funds to cover the costs of their travel to and from the home country, accommodation, and other living expenses. While students are eligible to join the School’s medical insurance plan, a co-payment element is applicable. Students are advised to make provision for their own medical expenses
Scholarships We offer a number of merit-based scholarships for our Master’s programmes. Ideal candidates will showcase exceptional academic and professional achievements, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and have a passionate commitment to public service. The scholarship application process is integrated into the programme application. While completing your application form for admission, you will be asked “How do you plan to finance your graduate education?”. You may select “Scholarship” if you wish to be considered for scholarships upon successful admission to the programme.
