DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIPS

The district offers a registration fee assistance program for qualifying families that covers up to 50% of the registration fee. For more details and to apply, visit www. sistersrecreation.com.

For up-to-date information on program and facility closures, visit the district Facebook page and website. Please note that if Sisters School District closes due to inclement weather, all SPRD programs and activities will be canceled.

OUT-OF-DISTRICT (OD) FEES

Our programs are open to everyone regardless of whether you live within our district boundaries. District users who live outside of district boundaries do not pay property taxes to help support Sisters Park & Recreation District and are subject to a 30% fee increase.

SISTERS COMMUNITY RECREATION CENTER

The Sisters Community Recreation Center (SCRC) is a multipurpose recreation facility that offers a variety of health & wellness, and recreational opportunities to the public.

Go to www.sistersrecreation.com and click the green “registration” button. Log in or create an account. Find the desired programs, check the box, then add to cart. Check out when finished. If you have any challenges, call 541-549-2091 for assistance.

REFUND POLICY

Please review our direct refund policy and be sure to communicate ahead of time if plans change and you cannot attend a program. Our refund policy is as follows unless otherwise noted.

✓ 5 business days notice or more prior to the first day of the program: 100% refund or credit is given minus a $5 processing fee.

✓ 3-4 business days notice prior to the first day of the program: 50% refund or credit is given minus a $5 processing fee.

✓ 2 business days notice prior to the first day of the program or less: no refund or credit given.

✓ Program fees are not refunded or prorated for participants who miss portions of the program.

✓ Full refunds or credits will be granted for programs that are canceled by the district, without withholding a $5 processing fee.

✓ Day camp and specialty camps are subject to a $25 change/cancellation fee per camper per week.

Kids Night In

Ages 4-Grade 5.. Enjoy an evening to yourselves while the kids have a blast with us! Our trained staff will keep your child engaged with a mix of active play, creative crafts, snack time, and relaxing downtime as we wind down for the night. It’s a safe, fun, and easy way for kids to enjoy an evening in, while parents enjoy an evening out!

Play Pass allows users the same access as the Playlite Pass and additional access to district drop-in group fitness classes.

Additional Pass Information

• Passes can be purchased in-person at SCRC.

• 10-visit passes expire one (1) year from the date of purchase.

• Monthly passes are an auto-renew pass that allow the passholder unlimited monthly visits.

• 3-month passes must be paid in full at time of purchase and allow the passholder unlimited monthly visits.

• Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Indoor Playground

Ages 0-5. Join us to get the wiggles out! SPRD offers an open, nonstaffed, playtime that is open to families looking for a safe space to run, play, and have fun!

Ages 6-12. Join us for weekly Wednesday art sessions! Give your child the gift of creative freedom with guidance. We will use mixed media, painting, arts & crafts, drawing, abstract, portrait, and so much more, we will create something new each week!

Where the Wild Things Live - Non-School Day Camp!

Grades K-5. Get ready to explore the wild! Where the Wild Things Live is a curiosity powered adventure camp where kids explore the adaptations of the animals of our High Desert Ecosystem. Campers will discover how wild animals live, what they eat, and how they survive through hands-on exploration and fun outdoor activities.

Plant-Tastic - Non-School Day Camp!

Grades K-5. From roots to shoots, campers will dig deep into the world of plants and become one with the plant community around them. Through hands-on activities and outdoor exploration, kids will learn about the different parts of plants, how they grow, what they need to survive, and how animals depend on plants! Introduction to Ceramics – Youth Pinch Pot Mugs

Ages 7-11. Students will learn the basics of hand building over two classes. First shaping a pinch pot mug, adding simple handles and textures then adding color with underglazes. Wall Hangings

Introduction to Ceramics – Teens Pinch Pot Mugs

Ages 12-17. An introductory ceramics class focused on forming a functional mug from a pinch pot. Students will learn shaping, attachment, surface design, and glazing from raw clay to finished piece. (2 class series). Instructor: Ceydi P., Soula Stoneware

Child and Babysitter Safety (CABS)

Ages 12+. The CABS training gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. Learn how to get started with a business, build a resume, learn what questions to ask while interviewing families, work with parents and children, and keep you safe as well as the children you’re caring for, caregiving, and first aid tips. This course is designed to complement the CPR/ First Aid program for those beginning to babysit. See page 4. Instructor: Northwest Emergency Medical Training

Pump

Learn to Skateboard Clinics

Entering grades 6-8. All middle school students are welcome as we go out and explore all that the Sisters community has to offer. With a variety of activities offered throughout the season, this is the place to be! Participants should bring a water bottle and must provide their own lunch.

Take a trip to the High Desert Museum and explore the art, history, and animals of the High Desert!

Go for a wet and wild ride down the Wild & Scenic McKenzie River as we partner with High Country Expeditions on this classic 14-mile whitewater trip.

Deschutes River Float

Take a trip down the Deschutes! We’ll start at Riverbend Park, navigate the rapids at Bend Whitewater Park and end at Drake Park. All participants will be required to wear a life jacket.

Newberry Monument & Lava Lands

Visit the Newberry Monument and Lava Lands Visitor Center! Take a trip up to the top of Lava Butte for beautiful views of the surrounding area. Take a walk along the Big Obsidian Flow trail and through the Lava Cast Forest learning about the different geological features and volcanic glass.

SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM

Entering grades 1-5. SPRD partners with the City of Sisters to bring to you the Summer Playground Program! This 6-week, non-custodial, program offers kids fun activities - games, arts and crafts - at Village Green Park, led and supervised by SPRD staff. This is a daily drop-in program and does require preregistration. Location: Village Green- 305 S. Fir Street

Entering K-5th. Looking for a fun way to keep your kiddo active and entertained this summer? Look no further! Camp Ponderosa is packed with adventure, games, and walking field trips to some of our favorite spots around Sisters, making it the perfect place for kids to explore, play, and make new friends all summer long! *No camp on 7/3. The weekly fee is adjusted to reflect a four-day camp.

Coyle Outside Intro to Wilderness Survival

Ages 6-9. Learn the basics of thriving in the wild in this survival camp that covers a bit of everything! Campers learn confidence, initiative, communication, and common sense through fun survival scenarios in teams and on their own.

We dive even deeper into skills the group finds most engaging. Our goal is building initiative, self-control, and judgment skills while connecting with the natural world and having fun. Ages 9-14. This camp goes in depth into critical survival skills using fun, challenging real life scenarios. Outlaw Football Camp

Grades 1-8. Join Sisters High School football coaches and players to develop your offensive and defensive game. Registration fee includes a t-shirt for each participant.

Outlaw Soccer Camp

Tackle Football

Grades 5/6. In partnership with the Central Oregon Recreation League, players will be introduced to 11-man tackle football. Teams will practice 2-3 times per week in Sisters with games on Saturdays in neighboring Central Oregon communities. Fee includes gear rental; players will be fitted for gear prior to first practice. Volunteer coaches needed!

Join SPRD staff for a Youth Sports Information Night on May 27. Staff will share important dates and registration information to help parents prepare for the upcoming fall season!

Flag Football

Grades 1-4. Flag football is a great way to introduce your child to organized football. Program emphasizes fundamental skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun. Teams will practice twice per week with games on Saturdays. Teams will travel to neighboring communities throughout the season for games. Volunteer coaches needed!

FALL 2026 PREVIEW

Preschool

Ages 3-5. Our preschool program has offered a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive for over 15 years. Through a balanced curriculum encompassing playbased learning, socialization activities, and age-appropriate academics, we foster holistic development in preparation for kindergarten and beyond Students must be 3 years old by September 1, 2026, and fully potty trained. This program is eligible for the SPRD scholarship as well as we accept EDRC. Ask staff for more details.

Kids Club

Grades K-5. The focus of the Sisters Park & Recreation District after-school program is to provide a safe, structured, and fun environment for your kiddo. Our program includes structured play, enrichment activities, and a snack. Kids Club will follow the Sisters School District calendar. ERDC accepted.

Ages 18+. Under 18 welcome with a responsible adult. Join Sisters Opportunities for Unified Living (SOUL) for their once-amonth game nights. All persons, experiencing a disability or not, are welcome for an evening of fun! This program will take a break June through September.

Ages 16+. This is a recreational league for all ages and abilities. Teams will play a minimum 6-game schedule plus a singleelimination tournament to end the season. Teams will play a minimum of one game per week, with the possibility to play 1-2 games per week based on the total number of registered teams.

* Games will be played on Thursday; if 6 or more teams register for the league, additional games will be played on Tuesday as needed.

• A minimum of 10 players is required per team.

Glory Daze Car Show

All ages. Set on Main Avenue, this car show is the perfect way to spend a sunny fall day. Event goers will see a variety of cars that will dazzle the eyes and get their heart pumping when they all start after the award ceremony. Looking to register more than one car?
