About our eco shops

The shops are stocked with surplus food that would otherwise be thrown away due to over-ordering or packaging errors.

When and where can I visit?

Friarage: Mondays from 11am – (next to the Friends of the Friarage shop)

James Cook: Thursdays at 2pm - in the Volunteers Coffee Lounge North Tees and Hartlepool: Paused Keep a look out for further dates!

Did you know there is a free, independent and confidential staff counselling service?

The professionally trained counsellors are experienced in a variety of issues which may be causing you concern, be it at work or at home

Dyslexia NE can support with carrying out a workplace assessment. They can come to your place of work and give you advice on what resources and equipment that may be beneficial for you.

Chaplaincy

The chaplaincy team are available to support staff, regardless of whether people have a faith or not and offers a sympathetic ear to those who need to talk. The team is happy to work with individuals or teams, depending on circumstances and the nature of the concern and offer support through:

Listening – so you know you are seen and heard

Reflection – non-judgemental space where issues are held gently together

Bespoke service – seeking creative ways to offer pastoral care

Faith support – prayer and sacramental provision are available where appropriate

Andy’s Man Club are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free to attend peer-to-peer support groups across the UK.

The groups provide a place for men to come together in a safe and open environment to talk about the issues or problems that they have faced or are currently facing.

The clubs meet every Monday at 7pm (excluding Bank Holiday Monday).

There are 100 locations across the UK and the five nearest places are listed below:

MoneyHelper is a consumer-facing service, providing free and impartial money and pensions guidance for people across the UK including:

CHILD TRUST FUNDS

Most children born between 1 September 2002 and 2 January 2011 will have had a child trust fund; a tax-free saving account for children

They have since been replaced by Junior ISAs, so only existing accounts remain.
