Exploring Vancouver’s North Shore in the fall offers a delightful mix of outdoor adventures, cozy cafés, and seasonal events.
Here’s a curated guide to enjoying each neighbourhood during this vibrant season.

Home to tons of shops and restaurants, Dundarave is great place to go to soak in some seaside village vibes. Grab a latte or tea at one of the local cafes while you browse the boutiques and antique stores along Marine Drive.
After spotting some unique finds at the local shops, you can get a taste of great food in the area like fresh seafood, casual Italian cuisine or baked bread to bring home. Alongside the shopping and eateries, be sure to take in the gorgeous waterfront and mountain views. Be sure to take in the sights along the Centennial Seawalk, the North Shore’s own seawall. The 1.7-kilometre route is flat, making it easy for ev-

eryone to enjoy some light exercise while taking in the views the neighbourhood has to offer
Dundarave is known to be quaint, but also carries history, holding one of the oldest buildings in West Vancouver.
Now home to retail and office space, a building named Conservative Hall was built and leased to the West Vancouver Conservative Party in 1913. Over the years, the building has served many purposes, including a one-room school, a dance hall, a sweet spot known as Sager’s Maple Shop, and now home to the Red Lion Bar & Grill. All these quirks make Dundarave a great area to explore.

This neighbourhood nestled on the western edge of West Vancouver on the way up the Sea to Sky Highway is a perfect place to get a taste of small seaside town life without leaving the big city Park your car or take the bus and shop at the stores in the area. Immerse yourself in art galleries selling local work, then go grab a bite to eat at some of the local restaurants specializing in local favourites like fish and chips. For a sweet

treat, stop for a doughnut, scone or a scoop (or two) of ice cream and walk along near the water.
The trip also brings stunning sea views around the neighbourhood and at Horseshoe Bay Park, where kids can climb the playground equipment with mom and dad relaxing and taking in the views in the nearby deck chairs. If you’re lucky, you might have a chance to spot a sea lion or orca swimming by to say hello.

Known as the town centre of West Vancouver, Ambleside offers the perfect blend of waterfront views alongside shops and dining experiences.
A stroll along Bellevue Avenue and Marine Drive will take visitors to tons of restaurants for food cravings of almost anything ranging from savoury pies, brunch and sushi to sweets treats like chocolate or ice cream.
The neighbourhood boasts beautiful natural elements one imagines when they think of the North Shore, with the seawalk offering views sweeping

up from the oceanfront to the mountains. But the beauty can also be experienced up close, with the many parks in the area. The pier near Ambleside Beach is a great place to catch iconic views of Vancouver, Stanley Park and Lions Gate Bridge.
Ambleside is also host to lively activities year round, including the annual Harmony Arts Festival in August and the Ambleside Farmers’ Market every Sunday from May to October.

The neighbourhood is also home to Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, one of the largest regional parks in Metro Vancouver At 9,216.5 acres, the park has a variety of hik-

ing trails all skills levels, from beginners to experts. Hikers can trek up to stunning locations like Norvan Falls. On top of hiking, the neighbourhood is also home to great spots for mountain biking like Roadside Attraction on Mount Fromme.
