Hundreds of new homes are coming to the Lynn Creek neighbourhood.
On Monday, Oct. 20, District of North Vancouver council approved a proposal to build two towers – 34 and 30 storeys tall – with 683 strata and rental units, plus retail space, offices and a childcare facility. Dubbed Seylynn Centre, the Denna Homes project would cover the entire block between Fern and Hunter streets to the east of Mountain Highway (520-540 Mountain Highway, 1505-1571 Fern Street and 1514-1574 Hunter Street). The west tower will include 338 strata units, 12,000 square feet of commercial space that includes a 4,100-square-foot restaurant, and almost 17,000 square feet of office space. The east tower will have 345 rental homes, 72 offered at below-market rates, and childcare for 49 kids. Underground parking will include space for 676 vehicles. Currently, the property is mostly vacant, being used for parking and construction staging for other developments in the area, but there used to be 27 single-family homes there.
