As we know, during Cyclone Gabrielle, many people found themselves stranded or in difficult situations. Pam Stringer was one such person. Totally cut off from society, alone, with floodwater and debris around her rural property at the bottom of the Brynderwyn Range, it was

the Fulton Hogan road crew who cleared a path to her that Pam got the help she needed. Her family say they are forever grateful to Mike, the crew manager who checked on her daily until she should be reunited with them. continued on page 4 …
