More than 150 people of all ages came to Selwyn Park in Dargaville for a range of activities including a skateboard competition, the Baylys Beach Africa Drummers, a talent quest, Circus Kumarani, a bouncy castle and a sausage sizzle. A number of family-oriented organisations such as Kaipara Suicide Awareness and Whanau Ora showcased their services.

Bridges ‘death trap’ — Sabin u by Paul Campbell
Northland MP Mike Sabin says the two one-way river crossings on SH 12 at Matakohe “are a death trap in the Kaipara district”, and he’s holding a public meeting to update locals “on carnage (that) amounts to a social cost of what would be more than $70 million.”
