p Schools across Kaipara joined in with the good cause of Daffodil Day last week. At the same time, Dargaville Primary School went above and beyond, with every student dressed in yellow. Fundraising ideas abounded at schools and learning centres nationwide, as the New Zealand Cancer Society’s annual appeal provided a chance to learn and help others. Dargaville Primary School students were not the only ones wearing the colours of kōwhai and daffodils on the day. A big donation also came in from Selwyn Park School pupils, who also donned colourful clothes for the appeal. Other educators painted daffodils, visited local sausage sizzles and main street appeal hubs, and learned about the NZCS and its work.
