p Creating healthy lunches and delivering a Garden to Table programme at Paparoa Primary School has been celebrated by the entire student body with the opening of the new school commercial kitchen. “Known as Te Whare Mairanga, the name embodies growth, nurturing and development,” says school principal Karyn Taylor. “This project was funded by Paparoa School Board of Trustees, school community fundraising and a grant received from the Maungatūroto Op Shop. So many people have worked tirelessly to complete this project, with the vision it will be an asset, not only to the school, but to the wider community in the years to come.”
