One of the biggest mistakesIsee sellers makingintoday's market is assuming that every improvement they made to aproperty automatically adds value in the eyes of buyers

Unfortunately,that is notalways how the market works.

Buyerstoday are more selective than ever before. With higherliving costs,interest ratesand tighter budgets,buyers are looking carefully at what they areactually getting for their money,and more importantly,what additional costs they may still face afterbuying.

Batteries also have alifespan and

electrical issues can cause these systems to fail or require replacement at any time.Because of this, expecting buyers to pay an additional R150,000 to R200,000 purely foranexisting inverter system is often unrealistic in today's market.

The same principle applies to water tanks. Whilebackup water systems are definitely in higher demand due to ongoing water supply issues, this does not mean aseller will automatically recover several times the installation cost in added property value.
