One millionth Polo rolls out
Volkswagen Group Africa (VWGA) has rolled out its one millionth current-generation Polo at its Kariega plant, marking a landmark production milestone. Since the model’s introduction at the facility in 2017, approximately 86% of units have been exported to markets including Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. The current-generation Polo accounts for nearly 21% of the 4,803,424 vehicles produced at Kariega over 75 years, and represents 48% of all Polo models ever built at the plant.
