Milestone for Cheshire Home Cheshire Home Summerstrand, which provides care and support to physically disabled adults, is celebrating a remarkable 50-year milestone this October. The facility currently supports 56 physically disabled adults and 15 children with varying abilities. The home was officially opened by the renowned Professor Christiaan Barnard in 1975.
