Karting star (14) chases global dream
Fourteen-year-old karting driver, Aashay Nagura from Gqeberha, has earned his place representing South Africa at the prestigious Champions of the Future Academy series in the UK this March. The karting prodigy, who began his journey playing racing games on PlayStation before saving for his first go-kart at age nine, recently finished third at the IAME International Final in Italy. Now homeschooled to accommodate his rigorous training regime of 5:30 gym sessions and simulator practice, Aashay will compete at four renowned British circuits, including Silverstone, seeking sponsorship to support his dream of professional motorsport whilst representing his country at the highest level.
