R11m fleet delivered

Mbhashe Local Municipality Executive Mayor Councillor Samkelo Janda welcomed ten new vehicles worth R11 million last week to improve service delivery and monitoring capacity. The municipality used R4 million from vehicle auctions and added funds from its own revenue to acquire the fleet. Janda said the vehicles address previous concerns about poor transport limiting the municipality’s ability to monitor services effectively. These vehicles replaced the exact number of vehicles that were auctioned, with two additional trucks still to arrive for electricity and community services. Read the full story on page 5.
