Tree in hul duisende aan om wedloop te geniet Saterdag 28 Februarie was die perfekte dag vir ’n wedloop, en 3 500 atlete en pretlopers het die strate van Bloemfontein ingevaar vir die Mimosa Mall Marathon. Vier wedlope is aangebied: 42km, 21km, 10km en ’n 5km-pretloop. Lereko Naile van die Centre City Titaniums-atletiekklub was die wenner in die 42km-wedloop. Hy het die afstand in 2:23:15 voltooi. Suspects were arrested on charges of dealing in drugs in the SAPS Free State Angi-Gang unit mission to dismantle criminal networks. On Monday around 16:00, routine duties in Navalsig led to a bakkie matching the description of a vehicle allegedly used for drug distribution. A firearm was found and a suspect arrested
for possession of an unlicensed firearm. On Tuesday around 20:00, the Anti-Gang unit searched a residence in Kopanong and found a large quantity of illicit substances, including Mandrax tablets and crystal meth with an estimated street value of R65 000, and cash suspected to be proceeds of crime.
