Two days later, a suspect was arrested and identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson Robinson was turned in by his father after he saw the photo of the alleged suspect on the news Family members told investigators that Robinson had become more political in recent years Authorities have revealed that Robinson shot from just 130 meters away from where Kirk was sitting, and as of now, Robinson is still awaiting trial

The assassination has sparked widespread outrage across the American political scene President Donald Trump ordered flags to be flown at half-staff through September 14 in Kirk’s honor, calling the shooting “a cowardly attack on free speech and democracy” Lawmakers from both parties have agreed, urging Americans to reject political violence and calling for unity instead of separation over this tragedy. Utah’s Governor Cox described this event as “a dark day for our state and our nation ”

Kirk rose to prominence after founding Turning Point USA, a conservative nonprofit that aims to influence young voters and expand Republican outreach on college campuses Known for his outspoken style and frequent campus debates, Kirk was a prominent figure in American conservative media Beyond politics, Kirk is remembered as a devout Christian and a devoted husband and

On September 9 , Nepali protesters angered by the government banning several social media platforms, escalated into violence and more than 100 were injured Protesters have flooded the streets of the capital Kathmandu this week and what started as a Gen Z movement that criticized the lifestyles of “Nepo Kids” has escalated into the prime minister resigning and unleashed one of Nepal’s deadliest wave of unrest the country has faced in years Tens and thousands of people broke through the gates of parliament, Government buildings, courts, and political offices to set ablaze Throughout the week leading up to protests, many activists have spotlighted the lifestyles of politicians’ children which highlights
imbalance between Nepal’s rich and poor The Government tried to set a curfew and sent out more police in the streets in order to calm down the chaos Many people believe that the government is trying to shut down the voices of citizens instead of hearing what they have to say. Even if a lot of the movements are being led by younger people, they are fighting for the bigger unfairness in the country and how they want a future where hard work is considered to matter more, rather than connections or family names already stepped down, protesters are pushing for a change to have a fair government free from corruption The future for Nepal depends on what happens next
and father.
Across the country, tributes have been poured in from supporters, students, and other activists Vigils are being planned in both Utah and at TPUSA headquarters in Phoenix Charlie Kirk is remembered by his wife, Erika Frantzve, and their two children. For many, this tragedy serves as a stark reminder of the rising tensions in American politics and the growing divide that threatens the unity of our nation

‘El Grito, otherwise knows as the Cry of Dolores commemorates Mexican independence from Spain Annually, on September 15 people all across Mexico celebrate El Grito This tradition began when a priest named Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla rang the church bells in a town called Dolores He did this so people could rise up against the Spanish government, Hidalgo gave a big speech, but no one knows exactly what he said, only that he had called for freedom, religion, and getting rid of bad rulers Hildalgo didn’t live to see Mexico’s independence, but he is remembered as a hero This marked the beginning of the 11 year Mexican War of Independence, and is now remembered with festivals, parade, fireworks, and the famous El Grito

Everyone loves food. It is one of the few things that can instantly make your day better This year has kicked off to a good start for students and staff, and honestly, food is the main thing that gets me through the day Whether it’s something salty, warm, or a cool and refreshing drink. One thing that I love is the snack bar at Notre Dame, Apples and Oranges The food is so good and it never disappoints My favorite food to get for lunch is the pasta or a grilled cheese, and in between classes, I always like to get a lemonade But not everyone always buys food at the snack bar, especially because of the long line, but they also pack their own lunch People will make their own sandwiches, burritos, or salads, and a little snack. In the cooler weather, packing something warm like some soup or Mac n Cheese can be the perfect way to enjoy your lunch time after a morning of classes Also, if you want a quick treat before or after school, Starbucks has its fall menu back with drinks like a pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin cream chai, and a drink like they’re new Italian sausage egg bites Overall, whether you pack a lunch or grab something on campus, there are plenty of good options to enjoy.

This week, I had the pleasure of asking Mrs Webster, our new AP Language and Composition and English III teacher, a few questions about how she is settling into her new role at school, as well as some job-related inquiries. As we were talking, Mrs. Webster told me about how she decided to become a teacher at Notre Dame and how she felt she had a calling Even though she has been a parent at this school for almost six years now, she felt that this was the right time to come and become part of the staff Now that she is more situated, she feels like she understands both perspectives of being a parent and a teacher In the middle of the chaos, she found a way to balance both her work and personal life Mrs Webster believes that both lives can coexist, but can also be separated She shared that she reflects on her everyday life and tries to improve upon herself
When asking Mrs Webster about the AP system and tips about school, she suggested to put school first and to spend less time on our phones She also warns that the biggest mistake that students make are having overwhelming schedules Her advice is to balance our school life with our personal life even if that means that we have to take off an activity or two because it’s too much work. She believes that it is very important to maintain a healthy state of mind throughout the year, during both the easy and hard times She continues that instead of trying to outdo ourselves and excel in every little thing that we do, we can have a focused group of interests that we can put 100 percent effort into instead. Mrs Webster also advised that students should avoid rushing to complete assignments at the cost of having rigor It’s not about getting it done, but rather about understanding the information and applying it to our school work Our strategy should be, in her opinion, to learn for long-term knowledge instead of test-driven short-term effort On a similar note, Mrs Webster stresses the need to understand that AP classes are not just a bump up, but rather an opportunity to learn the subject matter at a college level which will help prepare students for college learning
Lastly, I asked Mrs Webster some light questions like what she was looking forward to this year She responded saying that she was looking forward to help her students to become better writers, critical thinkers, and change agents, and to help them grow closer to God. She concluded by saying “Enjoy high school, but remember that you are setting up your future here, junior year is make or break, stay on task, fix the little mistakes and bad habits in order to accomplish your goals ”

Alhough our Varsity Volleyball girls have had a challenging season so far, they still continue to show teamwork and dedication every time they step onto the court. The energy they bring to every game is absolutely outstanding They had a big league win against Jurupa Hills on Thursday, with a score of 3-2, placing them in a good league spot Sadly, they didn’t win their Holy War game, but it was a very tough fight for the win between Aquinas and Notre Dame

On Tuesday, September 16, several Riverside Medical Centers received credible bomb threats, which were taken very seriously by the Riverside Police Department One of the possible bomb sites included the Riverside Medical Clinic on Brockton Avenue. Due to the school's proximity to the clinic, Notre Dame went under evacuation orders, in an event that junior Emma Senn describes as “not on my 2025 bingo card ”
Before knowledge of the threat, Tuesday started off as a normal day Tuesday was also a twin themed spirit day with many students coming in matching attire Almost immediately after the start of second period, orders to exit classrooms were given, with people heading to the football field. “Everybody thought it was a drill,” said sophomore Nathan Gomez Senior Samantha Kimble added that the experience was, “Confusing cause I’ve never had an actual emergency since I’ve been here ” However, students were then directed to Shamel Park, a

As of right now, no charges have been filed, and D4vd is said to be cooperating with authorities. He has canceled his remaining U S tour dates and several brands such as Crocs and Hollister have began to distance themselves The medical examiner has yet to release an official cause of death Per usual, social media is all over this sickening situation and with many theories Some point out

Since 1959, Holy War has been one of the most anticipated football games of the year The game is between the Diocese of San Bernardino’s original two high schools: Notre Dame and Aquinas In the years since, Holy War has expanded to sports other than football, and at least once a year, each sports team plays Aquinas.
This year, all of the fall Holy War games were moved to one day, and for that one day, the Titans and the Falcons battled it out. The day started off with prayer, reminding us that despite the rivalry, together we are one big catholic family Early in the morning was Girl’s Varsity Tennis, who easily won the game, with a match score of 13-5. The freshman volleyball team lost their holy war, but the JV girls were able to win theirs The varsity girls put up a fight against

the falcons However, they ultimately lost their third set in an intense game
Throughout the day, there were pop-ups from both schools. Some Notre Dame pop-ups featured face painting, which was a fun way for both current and future titans to represent Notre Dame in the stands Food being sold by Apples and Oranges was also present all throughout the day

especially since we were not given the full story of what was going on I left my phone in the class so I couldn’t contact my parents ” Emma Senn said that, “Not having my phone during the whole time was definitely weird A time where I should be contacting my parents, and the reason why they gave me a phone, I couldn’t even use it to them I was okay, because I felt it in the classroom.” In a worrisome time for the students of Notre Dame, they came together as a community Many of those with phones, had lent them to friends and peers without Senn says that “I’m so very grateful for the people who let me borrow their phones,” and also believes that this is a reminder “why you should memorize your parent’s phone number ”During this event, many parents came to pick up their children Staff, such as Mr Avila, quickly assisted in setting up a
system of helping the release of students
As students began to get released, many settled in, battling the afternoon heat, while being told it would be hours before students could get their stuff Students who drove to school that day, were stuck, as the Nixon parking lot was closed, and car keys remained on campus. Teachers passed out water bottles to help students overcome heat However, there was one thing many students couldn’t overcome, was boredom. Without their phones, and as friends started leaving, many simply lingered around the park, waiting for when they could go back to campus However, around lunch time, the campus was reopened and students were finally able to retrieve their items School resumed normally the next day, and the even brought a new meaning to community at ND.
“Help I scratched my teacher’s car while trying to park last week, I think he might know it was me. Sorry king”
Uh-oh Maybe you should’ve told him immediately after you scratched his car You probably should also tell your insurance, especially if the damage is bad. If he doesn’t fail you, please learn how to park better!
“Am I the bad guy for lying to my friend’s girlfriend saying that he’s been cheating on her? I thought it would be funny but I guess he’s mad at me now?”
Why yes, I fear you are the bad guy There’s a lot to unpack here, but first of all, you were in the wrong for lying to your friends girlfriend. Also, if he was cheating on her, why would you snitch if he’s your friend? The best option for you to do right now is to come clean, to both of them By doing this, you may loose your friend, but his girlfriend’s trust is restored in him, and your consience is clean Hope you do what’s right!
tattoo both D4vd and Celeste shared, and others speculate about a secrete relationship between the two Rumors swirl that lyrics in D4vd’s songs contain hidden references to Celestine Fans have noticed that some of D4vd’s music videos feature young women who resemble Celestine, and that he released one of his most popular songs, Romantic Homicide, on her birthday Additionally, D4vd has an unreleased song titled, “Celestine,” which has fueled discussions online What makes this story especially tragic is the loss of a human being Behind all the headlines and theories is a grieving family who lost a daughter and deserves the answers to their many questions Whether or not D4vd is guilty of wrongdoing, it is clear that Celestine’s life was far too short and that her memory deserves to be honored. God bless her family during this unimaginable time, and may they find comfort and strength as they navigate through this loss May justice be served for Celestine Hernandez
Kelce proposed to Swift in a garden full of pink and white roses, the pictures posted to their instagram shows Kelce getting down on one knee and close up shots of the ring and of the two hugging and sitting in the garden. One of the biggest takeaways from this proposal was the ring. While the official cost hasn’t been disclosed, a jeweler from Jared Jewelers estimated it cost around $250,000-500,000. Althogh another jeweler from Lorel Diamonds estimated $657,000 to 1 million! Kelce was recently interviewed and said this about their engagement “She can tell the story The palms were definitely sweating. I’m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there But it’s been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her ”

For many years, incoming Notre Dame freshman have taken a required course on technology literacy, known as iCreate This class was meant to teach students how to use the provided iPads and their applications; highlighting our schools status as an Apple Distinguished school The class’ curriculum consisted on in depth lessons on each main app on the iPads, such as iMovie and Keynote The highlight of the class was the second semester final, in which students were tasked with making a Shark Tank presentation and, similarly to the TV show, attempt to get “investors” to fund their original ideas, with the “investors” usually being graduating seniors
Mrs Hernandez taught the class for about ten years, and remembers creating a curriculum that “pushed students to be innovative and creative ” One thing that she recalls missing most about the class is “being with the students I liked making relationships with the students and having fun in the classroom; as well as seeing that a student is proud of what they have made ”
Starting in the 2025-2026 school year, the course was discontinued Hernandez saying that “I would’ve like to kept it if it would’ve been taught with the same curriculum that I had used, but it had changed from when I taught it, so no ”
Incoming freshman were allowed to choose an elective as their 7 course These classes ranged from required credits like speech and art, to elective credits such as philosophy and psychology. Psychology teacher Ms. Bravo said, “I was so worried about it” in response to teaching freshmen “But they're so amazing… it ended up that they were so locked in, and they love it, and they have so many questions, and they're so open-minded, because they don’t know that much about high school classes. So they just want to know and learn everything, which is good because I thought I would have to hold back material because of their maturation level; so far that hasn’t been a problem ” Bravo also says that she’s “integrating some iCreate materials into her classes,” so that some of the students are aquinted with apps, despite the removal of the class th
In the middle of the day, there was a mass that hosted both the schools; once again highlighting the fact that we are united by faith Shortly afterward, the Boys and Girls cross country teams began their races around the track field, with A big finish taking place in the middle of the football field Senior Flor Castanon finished in second place, being the only titan to place Afterward, the main game began. Football lost their game 6-69; however, many Titans and their families came to support the team and cheer them on
