Job Title: Catholic High School Social Science Teacher​ Location: In Person at Notre Dame High School, Riverside, California Job Summary: Notre Dame High School seeks a passionate, knowledgeable, and innovative Social Science teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in United States history, government, and economics, a commitment to Catholic education, and the ability to cultivate a student-centered, academically rigorous, and faith-informed classroom environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in history and the social sciences, including United States Government, Economics, and United States History. This individual should demonstrate the ability to engage students through clear, accessible instruction that promotes critical thinking and meaningful inquiry. A commitment to integrating faith and reason, supporting students’ intellectual, creative, and spiritual growth, and fostering a student-centered, academically rigorous, and faith-based learning environment is essential. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in History or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). A valid teaching credential is preferred but not required. A valid teaching certificate with an endorsement in Social Science is preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Previous teaching experience in high school Science or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with Catholic teachings and commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Development and Instruction: ●​ Design and implement an engaging science curriculum aligned with state standards, and the school’s educational goals. ●​ Promote the development of skills in social science, inquiry, and critical thinking.
