Job Title: Catholic High School English Teacher Location: In Person at Notre Dame High School, Riverside, California Job Summary: Notre Dame High School seeks a passionate and innovative English teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in English and Language Arts, a commitment to fostering students’ intellectual, creative, and spiritual growth, and the ability to cultivate a student-centered, academically rigorous, and faith-based learning environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). A valid teaching credential is preferred but not required. A valid teaching certificate with an endorsement in English is preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Previous teaching experience in high school English or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with Catholic teachings and commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Development and Instruction: ● Design and implement an engaging English curriculum aligned with state standards and the school’s educational goals. ● Develop students' skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. ● Foster communication skills and an appreciation for literature of all types. ● Motivate students to read various publications to derive information, comprehend, and critically assess reading materials. ● Promote the development of skills in English reading, grammar, and syntax.
