Job Title: Catholic High School Art Teacher Location: In Person at Notre Dame High School, Riverside, California Job Summary: Notre Dame High School seeks a dynamic and creative Visual Arts Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore artistic expression while building strong foundational skills in alignment with school guidelines and learning standards. This teacher will foster creativity, encourage artistic appreciation, and support students in developing their individual voice and aesthetic understanding within a structured and engaging classroom environment. Qualifications: ● Interested candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in fine arts (master’s degree in fine arts preferred). ● A valid teaching credential is preferred but not required. ● Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. ● Previous teaching experience in high school English or a related field is preferred. ● Familiarity with Catholic teachings and commitment to the mission of Catholic education. ● Proficiency in educational technology (e.g., iOS operating systems, Google Suite, educational apps), including learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Grading) and student information systems (e.g., RenWeb). ● Commitment to upholding the mission and values of Notre Dame High School ● Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration within a faith-based community. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Development and Instruction: ● Design and implement an engaging Art curriculum aligned with state standards and the school’s educational goals. ● Develop students' skills in drawing, painting, and other visual arts. ● Foster an appreciation for art of all types. Student Support and Engagement: ● Create a vibrant classroom environment conducive to learning and suitable for high school students' physical, social, and emotional development.
