17-year-old producer Ronald Vue has released a collection of remastered tracks created over the last couple years. His new EP is titled, “archives II.” and is now available to stream everywhere! In addition to creating a cohesive set of chilled-out, lo-fi beats, Ronald also created the album cover for this release. He transformed and blended multiple images together to create a cover that reflects the musical stylings of his EP.
The day before Halloween weekend, our 3rd through 5th grade class spent the day creating a remix of John Carpenter’s iconic “Halloween Theme,” originally made for the 1978 horror classic Halloween. Each youth took turns playing and creating different elements of the track on Native Instruments' Maschine and a midi keyboard until we had created an original beat based around the opening piano phrase of the song. Exploring Effects
Killing it at Karaoke!
All About That Bass
Isaiah has been coming in and taking drum lessons on Thursdays. He can have a hard time socializing with others, but music definitely speaks his language. In our last session, he wanted to try out the electric guitar. We spent almost an hour exploring the different effects and sounds you can make on our Peavey amp! Isaiah really like the flanger effect and is excited to explore more possibilities on the electric guitar.
Karaoke sessions are some of our club members’ favorite times to be in the studio. Long-time members Maleah and Karissa show us how it’s done by really feeling the music and putting their heart into it. Maleah tells me she is very excited to start recording her vocals and writing original songs.
Prince Paul has been coming to the studio for a while now and loves to show me different drum rhythms he’s learned at school. I started playing some bass along with his drumming and now he is excited to learn more about the bass guitar and even to play in a band one day!
