WRITERS WORKSHOP
Our second drum competition was a total hit! Pictured are McCartney, Dimitri, Elise, and Donovan the four contestants who faced off in an exciting rhythm showdown. McCartney and Dimitri performed Them Changes by Thundercat, while Elise and her brother Donovan brought the groove with Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz. The crowd energy was high, the performances were tight, and everyone left inspired. Another successful and fun studio tradition in the books!
We hosted a special songwriting session this month featuring members of the local band Cherry Vance, Liv & Jude. The youth collaborated with the group’s lead singers to create an original rap track that will be released soon. This workshop was especially meaningful because Gigi, one of our studio staff is Cherry Vance’s bassist, and her sister to Liv. It was a full-circle moment that showcased collaboration, family, and creative growth all at once.
