Khalil has been bringing his viola to the studio to practice, and it’s been a wonderful experience for both of us. As he explores new songs and techniques, he’s not only growing in his own musical journey but also teaching me along the way. His dedication reminds me that we’re always learning from our students, and that their passion can expand our own education just as much as we hope to expand theirs.
Four young creators—Jade, Judah, CJ, and Dmitri—teamed up to craft a unique hip-hop track built entirely from vocal-made instruments. Jade, Judah, and CJ laid down a full beat using nothing but their voices, layering percussion, chants, and vocal elements. Dmitri stepped in with a sharp rap performance over their vocal production, bringing the whole piece to life. This is a standout, all-vocal hip-hop banger that marks the crew’s first official collaboration with the East Studio.
