EENIE MEENIE VISUALIZER
MAC ARTHUR'S THEME SONG
This month, our Big 3 (Baby Virgo, Brookie Cookie, and Hannah Banana) had an unforgettable opportunity to collaborate with the youth of Free Spirit Media’s Screen Savors film program. Together, the two groups created a visualizer for “Eenie Meenie,” one of the standout tracks from our summer EP. Our young artists visited Free Spirit Media’s headquarters, where they stepped into a true production environment: lights, cameras, green screens, and a full youth-led film crew ready to bring their song to life. The collaboration was inspiring on both sides — our musicians experienced a new layer of creative expression, while the FSM youth applied their filmmaking skills to amplify the work of fellow young artists. The final product turned out incredible, but even more powerful was watching two groups of talented Chicago youth come together to create something bigger than themselves.
Our collaboration with Free Spirit Media actually began the week before the “Eenie Meenie” visualizer shoot, when their Screen Savors film crew visited our Notes for Notes studio. Together, we created an original song for their documentary about MacArthur’s, the iconic West Side soul-food restaurant. Our Big 3 led the writing and recording process, and three FSM youth even hopped in the booth for their first-ever vocal session. It was an incredible, cross-creative experience that gave both groups the chance to learn from each other and contribute to a truly Chicago story.
