Lamariyon has been singing up a storm in the studio! He’s been busy recording covers of “Best Part” by H.E.R., “Mary Did You Know” by Pentatonix, and “5 Step” by Dru Hill. We’ve also been identifying his best parts and pitch inconsistencies by using Auto Tune as a learning tool (instead of just a tool to mask over any issues)
Ja’Qualyn, Josiah, and Sanijah formed a triangle trio and recorded a pattern that we sampled and turned into a full beat. The song uses 3 measure phrases, triplet rhythms, triangle wave oscillators, triangle shaped EQ, melodies 3 semitones apart, 3 cent detuning, 3 part bata drumming, and just about anything else we could think of with 3!
