JUNNY- ROCK HILL Junny is pretty experienced in making beats at this point so we tried pulling a sample from a real song instead of from splice. We worked out a tempo and traded off playing the drum parts, chose a bass sound, and then made this remix of an old acappella song.
SAMUEL- HOLYSPIRIT Samuel came back to record a christian trap song he had written out, so we got him in the vocal booth to record on a beat we made earlier. In a bout an hour we added autotune, reverb, and compression to bring the track to life.

Skylar took her first try at making a beat on the ableton push with me and learned how to use the different pads to build out a drum kit. We talked about which jobs the different drum parts have and then added a little flourish to our beat with some vocal samples from splice.

ELIANA- I NEED U TONIGHT Eliana worked up the courage to sing over a beat we made together even though she had only sung once before in the studio. We learned how to be confident in performance even when other people are around and got a great take in the booth that she was happy with.

COMMONPOINT DONUT PARTY We wrapped up our spring semester at Commonpoint with a big sendoff donut and milkshake party for the students and staff.
EXPLORERS GET JAMS IN BEFORE BREAK We got the explorers in the studio to do some karaoke and hop on the sintruments one last time before taking a few weeks off for our transition to summer programming. They are excited to return for more jams during Summer Camp.
