SUPPORTING OUR TEAM This summer, our team had the opportunity to participate in a professional development session led by a licensed therapist. The training focused on supporting youth through challenging experiences and created space for staff to reflect, learn, and strengthen the tools they use to support young people every day. Investing in our team helps ensure that our youth continue to have caring, prepared mentors around them while building an even stronger and more supportive community.
YOUNG LEADERS IN ACTION German, Rafael, and Marc have gone above and beyond as volunteers, lending a hand wherever help is needed around the club and studio. From helping in the garden and assisting with maintenance projects to cleaning, organizing, and caring for equipment, they've shown incredible responsibility and initiative. Their willingness to contribute has made a meaningful impact, and it's been amazing to watch them grow into dependable young leaders. We are proud of the example they continue to set for others.

LEARNING FROM EACH OTHER One of the most rewarding parts of the music studio is seeing youth learn and grow alongside one another. Rafael has been developing his bass skills over the past year, and it has been exciting to watch him learn from Joshua, who has been playing bass for several years. Through conversations and shared encouragement, they are building confidence and inspiring each other as musicians. These moments show the power of youth mentorship and the positive connections made in our studio.
CREATING TOGETHER David and Miguel recently had the opportunity to record an original song they had been working on together, with Miguel on drums and David on bass. After recording their live performance, they sat down to listen back, learn more about the production process, and reflect on their playing. They were able to evaluate their takes, discover new ways to improve, as well as celebrate the music they created together.
GIVING BACK THROUGH MUSIC It was great to have Gabrielle back at the Club after volunteering with us last summer as a piano instructor. During her visit, she spent time in the music studio, helping guide practice sessions and reconnecting with the youth. It’s always meaningful to see former volunteers stay connected and continue sharing their time and skills with our community.
