BELLE ISLE BEACH This instrumental track was made by the 2nd session of youth for the summer program. Each youth took a turn at adding drums and melodic elements in ableton.
ME AND MY FAMILY - MOTION GIRLS This song was about having fun with our family and friends during the summer. Youth were able to track guitar and add their own drum pattern to the song. The Motion Girls always bring a lot of energy to their tracks!

This was the first song recorded by the Motion Girls. We had a ton of fun coming up with verses and everyone really came out of their shell with the recording of this song!

This song was made by the 2nd session and was inspired by 7 Nation Army, the song we were learning on instruments duing the time of recording. Aziya laid down some guitar, and everyone else added their own melodic ideas. We learned a lot about discernment and what we wanted to add to the song and what to take out

ASSEMBLE SOUND VISIT Youth had the opportunity to visit Assemble Sound, a local record label with a studio not even 10 minutes from where programming was taking place. We got to see a real mix console, meet some real record producers, and have fun with all of the different instruments and synthesizers that the studio had to offer. Huge thank you to Assemble Sound for allowing this to happen!
MOTION GIRLS BTS When we were recording the chorus to Summertime, we had to make sure that we knew how to say the chorus in time with each other and to listen and blend with our fellow musicians. Here is some footage of Mariah, Tailer, Saideira, and Makenzie practicing their lyrics together.
