CELEBRATING THE KING OF POP Our July Michael Jackson Showcase brought together youth from across multiple programs to celebrate the music and legacy of one of the world's greatest entertainers. Throughout the month, participants learned Michael Jackson's songs, choreography, and musicianship while preparing for a live showcase and dance party. One of the most rewarding parts of the experience was seeing youth from Chi Kids Sing and Making the Mini Band collaborate, combining live vocals and instruments into memorable performances
TEEN VOICES PODCAST This summer, our teen participants wrapped up their film program by producing and filming three original podcast episodes inside the Notes for Notes studio. The episodes gave teens a platform to discuss topics that matter to them, including the timely issue of "Teen Takeovers" in Chicago—a conversation that has gained attention both locally and nationally.
