POETRY IN THE DARK Sometimes, the right atmosphere can bring out the deepest words. With the lights low and a lo-fi soundscape in the background, I wanted to give Kaleena the space to bring her poetry to life. The studio became the perfect environment for her to express herself and let her words take center stage.
KIDS KARAOKE Every year summer tends to have a theme that a lot of the kids use for their karaoke this year. It was midnight swim, and these kids love trying to hit that high note.

TEEN NIGHT IS A VIBE This year’s Teen Night has been a great mix of returning and new youth, along with a mix of new and classic songs. What makes me most proud is seeing the teens become comfortable enough to express themselves, share their creativity, and support each other. It’s been great watching the community grow.

TINY DESK This year, I was so excited to work with Arymus, Kaelyn, Lucia, Leiry, and Calii on this year’s Tiny Desk project. These talented teens brought incredible energy to the studio, performing two covers and one original song. With production help from Sebastian and Mr. Tim, we transformed the studio into a full recording space and captured each performance. The energy was amazing, and I can’t wait for everyone to see the final video. Stay tuned!.
ALL SMILES Every summer, I get to meet youth I don’t normally see during the school year. Some are too young to regularly participate in the studio, while others only join us for the summer program. No matter the reason, I love seeing their reactions when they first experience the studio, the equipment, and everything they can create. Seeing their faces light up reminds me why these opportunities matter. Their excitement and curiosity make me proud to provide a space where they can explore music, learn new skills, and discover what’s possible.
