Although still a demo, Joshua’s second track is nearly finished! Tracking was completed last week, and we are now in the mixing stage. Joshua composed everything and played all the bass, as well as some guitars. Stay tuned for the official release!

“FAME OVER DEMISE” This youth is 11 and has been with the studio since 2024. They’ve been going through a tough time, and this song is one of the pieces helping them through it. It features guitars and strings, no vocals. The strings section was especially fun to work on. Enjoy!

“FINE ENTERTAINMENT”-THIERRA Thierra, former studio intern, released this song last year as her first solo project, exploring an alt-rock, indie sound. The track was fully co-produced here at the studio, where we worked together from songwriting and tracking to editing, mixing, and mastering.

“PYRAMIDS”-DEJA RE Deja, a former studio volunteer, released this song last year as an ambient, electronic dance track. After building her foundational production skills here at the studio, she pushed herself to take on the entire creative process independently, from start to finish.

PROGRAMMING RESUMES POST-FLOOD With the holidays behind us and school back in session, our studio space is still not fully operational. To keep things moving, we’ve been using temporary spaces around the club, including the STEM lab and art room. Even with these adjustments, we’ve continued holding band practice and teaching lessons in singing, guitar, bass, drums, and recorder. Staying active during this time helps provide our youth with routine, creative outlet, and a sense of normalcy while we work toward fully reopening the studio.

NOTES FOR NOTES BENEFIT NIGHT Our SB East producer and I attended and tabled at a benefit show by Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, where we also had the opportunity to connect with Nicole Noone, co-founder of Notes For Notes. The band delivered a high-energy performance that brought out a supportive and enthusiastic crowd, many of whom stopped by to learn more about Notes For Notes and contribute through donations. Nights like this help broaden our reach beyond the studio while strengthening the community support that continues to sustain and grow our programs.
