Youth wrote or freestyled verses about how they want to approach the new year. Different goals and aspirations are discussed on this track, with an infectious hook written and recorded by Myrick. Each youth brought something different to the table and together in a really cool way to complete this track!
MAYBE ITS ME - ELI DYON Eli came to the studio with an idea for a more emotional and vulnerable type of song. We worked on different approaches to delivery, and a more stripped back production style to emphasize the emotions he was feeling.
WANNA BE A RAPPER Xochitl got inspired from the past N4N artists and their music, she decided to take action and record her voice. She is an amazing singer and dancer, discovering her voice singing on a karaoke session, her passion for sing has been always present in the studio.

BABYFXCE E REMAKE In order to learn more about production, we took one of London and Serenity's favorite songs by Babyfxce E and recreated the beat for it. We listened critically and figured out each individual layer of the song, and matched the sound to it, then copied the arrangement. We learned a ton about how to use ableton, and what effective beatmaking looks like!

AMORE IN THE STUDIO Amore had the opportunity to record the hook for the song “Wanna Be A Rapper”. While recording it she learned about double tracking for the first time, and was surprised to hear how good her voice sounded when she layered it! She loved hearing it back and brought in her friend Paris to listen and dance to it!
KARAOKE IS BACK After a long winter break and a lot of snow days, the youth were very excited to be back in the Notes for Notes studio and burn off some energy with some karaoke! We also did some drum lessons in the control room for youth who were interested. Everyone is looking forward to making lots of new music and having a lot of fun in the new year!
