Baby DD takes on the tall task of covering Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day“ and knock it out of the park! Accompanied by Jay on background vocals, and Tiera on Saxophone, this version is lovely, lovely, lovely!
STREET LIFE ENTERTAINMENT TY is set to drop his first EP at the end of the month, titled, Street Life Entertainment. With a mix of uptempo and slower songs he’s sure to have something to offer no matter what vibe you’re in! Check out a preview of one of the tracks here!
PHAIL PHAST PHAIL PHORWARD Donnie is set to release his first poem, “Phail Phast, Phail Phorward” which is about not shying away from failure and learning from your mistakes in order to move forward. Donnie got to put that concept into action by recording multiple times and looking back on how his later takes improved from his first.

DRUMMING UP SOME INTEREST Baby DD and G provide some musical support as they jam out on some congas following the Poetry Phriday On Phire open mic. By playing a Kuku pattern over “While I’m Alone” by Maze & Frankie Beverly she learned you can play along to anything with a rhythm!

BLACK HISTORY ROUND UP Our Podcast at Running Rebels puts our youth in front of, and behind the camera to discuss the important innovations of Black people throughout history, and to this day. Some of the revelations they revealed were the invention of the traffic light, GPS, and potato chips. Shout out to George Crum, inventor of the potato chip, for taking “petty” to the next level by slicing potatoes ultra thin when a customer kept complaining that his fries were too thick and soggy!
POETRY PHRIDAY ON PHIRE Judge Rodgers host Poetry Phriday On Phire at Running Rebels Central. Ty and Donnie bless the stage with their poems and their peers offered encouraging support. We had a number of poets from the city help show the youth how its done and good vibes were had by all.
