Simir!
This month we want to highlight the work and presence of Simir Harris. He is a drummer, keyboardist and producer. Simir is influential in both musicianship and style. His sound is a major component to our sound.
Fundamentals We kicked off the month by revisiting the fundamentals of instrumental music. This involved a series of workshops where the participants had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in playing their chosen instruments, whether it be strings, percussion, or keyboard.

In building a partnership with the Jellef clubhouse I made a visit to Duke Ellington High School to make our program more visible and to recruit talented youth. This visit provided an opportunity to engage with students, teachers, and administrators, and to showcase the various opportunities and benefits that our music program offers.
One of the highlights of the visit was the setup of a mobile beat-making station. This interactive activity provided a hands-on experience for students to create their own beats and experiment with different sounds. It served as an excellent platform to demonstrate the practical aspects of music production and digital music creation.

Visuals
In addition to our focus on music, we also made strides in our visual arts and computer graphics skills during September. This was done by our youth, integrating traditional hand drawing techniques with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and rendering technology.
