Liner Notes May was the reopening of the N4N DC Studio! Throughout the month, I have focused on building a foundation of trust and comfort with the the youth as well as demonstrate the fundamentals of music creation.

Most of the youth are reaching the end of their school year,with summer programming beginning June 27th. By summer I plan on having all of my youth proficient in live instrumentation as well as digital programming.

Richette Kafka
Through the month of May I placed an emphasis on timing. I taught my youth the importance of keeping count and how that translates to tempo, swing and groove. This understanding allows them to play together in harmony.
Richette was one of the first to take interest in the studio since it has been operational. She has continued her musical journey through dedicated practice of both the drums and the keyboard. DONATE
