“TSOS” EP “The Sound of Summer” EP is a result of this summer’s in-studio work experience program. Youth ages 11-13 participated in the program as recording artists, engineers, studio managers, and producers. However, members as young as 6-8 still make appearances on the 5-track EP. The EP is a love letter to their beloved city, Chicago; touching on some heavy topics such as suicide and depression.
“TSOS” SHOWCASE/LISTENING PARTY On August 19th, our youth had an in-studio concert and listening party. They performed songs from their new EP, The Sound of Summer, as well as songs from their “2020” EP that they released at the beginning of of 2020. Youth (Angel, Jordan & Jayden) were really taking their artist development seriously the week of our showcase by putting in the necessary rehearsal hours for their big day!
Jordan, whose vocals are present on 95% of the tracks they were performing at the show, is still writing new raps despite having to memorize a ton of lyrics already.
Due to Covid, it’d been an extremely long time since youth had seen our studio volunteer, Bella. We were extremely happy to have her back in the studio giving youth further guidance in preparation for their showcase.
