HANDS UP ‘Hands Up’ was a track created by Tayshaun and Karim for the Feels Like Summer N4N album. After a few different tries, this song made the cut and was finished just in time for the album drop!
BIG DREAMS With creative assistance from our guest speaker Joe Davis. The message is a reflection of what our students felt when exploring Gospel music. Hope, Love, & Faith.ComMUSICation’s annual Gospel Choir Camp led by Imani Waters and Traiveon Dunlap, with students ranging from ages 8 to 16 split into groups to write “Big Dreams”.

Karim wanted to make a laid back RnB song with Tayshaun. Karim layed down some amazing vocals for his first time in the booth. Tayshaun continued his flow as well as helping chop up some bass and vocal samples!

SATURDAY JAZZ Tayshaun and Michah wanted to make something up beat and funny with a jazzy twist. As soon as some samples were chosen and flipped Tayshaun hopped in the booth with some percussion instruments and played out some funky rhythms while Michah recorded it. After they laid down the vocals and the track was made!

END OF SUMMER PERFORMANCE This summer at the West Side was filled with music and fun. Our two star youth of the summer, Tayshaun and Karim, ended it off with a great performance of their newest song ‘Saturday Jazz’. They performed for the whole club and left us with a smile and a catchy tune before we start our fall programming!
