GOD IS SO COOL VIDEO The 5 Star Crew followed up with the music video for “God Is So Cool,” an original song inspired by their faith and love for God. The project gave our young First Take artists another opportunity to see their ideas grow from the studio into a finished visual.
NOT WAITING OUR TURN On August 8, The Big 3 officially released their debut project, Not Waiting Our Turn. Years of writing, recording, performing, and developing together led to this milestone—and the title says it all: these young artists are ready to make their mark now.

The 5 Star Crew brought their first original song, “We Ballin,” to life with an official music video. Created through our First Take program, Marquea, Timothy, Carter, and Kaiden turned their love for basketball into a fun, high-energy introduction to songwriting, recording, and performing.

BACK TO WORK The album may be out, but The Big 3 are already back in the studio creating new music. Brooklyn, Aiden, and Hannah continue to build on their chemistry and growth while showing that releasing a project was only the beginning.

BUD BILLIKEN PARADE The Big 3 took their music to one of Chicago’s biggest summer traditions, performing as part of the It Takes a Village Back to School Festival at the Bud Billiken Parade, Sharing the event with other popular Chicago artists and content creators gave Brooklyn, Aiden, and Hannah another opportunity to perform their original music in front of a large community audience. Moments like this represent how far the trio has come—from creating music together inside the Notes for Notes studio to confidently representing themselves and their artistry on major stages throughout their city.
THE BIG 3 x CHICAGO SKY On August 22, The Big 3 brought their energy to a Chicago Sky game for another major performance opportunity, this time alongside our longtime collaborators at Creative Netwerk. The game also celebrated Skye the Lioness’ birthday, making an already exciting night even more special for the youth. Performing in a professional sports environment gave The Big 3 another unique platform to share their music, connect with a new audience, and continue building real-world experience as young Chicago artists.
