INSTRUMENTAL One thing I’ve noticed about learning an instrument is that people can easily get locked into their own world while practicing, especially when they’re playing alone. That’s why I sometimes like to talk to the youth while they’re playing, just to see if they’re still focused and listening. Check out this youth following instructions while continuing to play through the song.

OPEN MIC Our clubhouse recently hosted an open mic, and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone who performed. Every act brought their own unique talent and energy, and it was amazing seeing the youth confidently showcase their skills in front of the clubhouse.
KARAOKE CHALLENGE Juliette and Jenna are some of the newest youth at the clubhouse, and their love for music definitely comes from home. They told me their parents introduced them to all kinds of music growing up, and they were confident enough to challenge my music knowledge during karaoke. I’ll admit, I still had the upper hand, but hearing how much they know about classic music made me really excited for the next generation of music lovers.
