The Northwestern State University Summer Music Camps have a long and storied history for producing exceptional musical experiences that also provide a social outlet to enrich each participant by working with a well-respected staff and interacting with students from many programs around the region.

...Registration for Color Guard Camps
Registration for Color Guard Camps will take place in the Health and Human Performance Building (HHP, see map).
Parents may park in any lot not designated 'reserved' during registration.
Enter the NSU campus on Tarleton Street and follow the street around to the HHP Building (see map above).
CAMPUS MAPS ...Housing & Dining
for all camps
University Columns will be the designated housing for all Summer Band camps, except for the Honor Wind Ensemble. The dorm is located at 200 Tarlton Drive.
Dining will be in Iberville Hall (identified by the black star with a yellow outline). The dining hall is located at 144 Sam Sibley Drive

Housing & Meals
Students are housed in air-conditioned residence hall facilities
Two students per room/4 students to a suite
All meals will be served in Iberville Dining Hall

MedicationUse and Infirmary Services
Participants who become ill and unable to attend sessions must contact parents or guardians for medical needs. If an emergency occurs, university police and regional medical center will be contacted
All camper medications will be turned during registration and given to student during breafast and dinner meal breaks.

COLOR GUARDCamps
Our camp offers...
Assistant Director, Crystal Walker, will teach two master dance classes. This summer the campers will be learning a Jazz and Contemporary piece.
Fundamental Training/Technique on Flag, Rifle, and Sabre.
Beginner Level (Flag, Rifle, and Sabre)
Intermediate Level (Flag, Rifle, and Sabre)
Advanced Level (Flag, Rifle, and Sabre)
Elite Level (Flag, Rifle, Sabre, and Drill Design
Campers will also learn a fun Inclusive Flag Routine for the final performance.
Director, Jena Elfer, will offer students a chance to learn an audition piece for a Scholarship Oppurtunity to be a part of NSU Colorguard.
Students will be working closely with professionals in the color guard field as well as with our NSU color guard members.
