This year is extra special as we celebrate Northwestern Michigan College’s 75th anniversary! Since first opening in 1951, NMC has grown alongside you — with continuing education classes part of the college from the very beginning. In 1970 the college named our department Public Service & Enrichment Program, and by 1976 the course catalog proclaimed, “Education: Not a Task to Be Completed but a Process to Be Continued.”
