ABSTRACT In an exclusive event at Selfridges in collaboration with resale platform Vestiaire Collective, Cosmic Daggers has just painted an alternative reality right before your eyes, making normality more relative than ever. A retro-futuristic fantasy, fusing the Space Age of the 1960s with the upcoming takeover of the Metaverse, has been creatively explored and taken flesh as vintage items listed on the Vestiaire Collective platform were virtually marketed to the audience, advocating their life extension. Several of the garments modelled are designer pieces from houses such as Paco Rabanne, Pierre Cardin and Thierry Mugler, who are generally known for their intricacy and futuristic aesthetic, making them ideal for the experience. This publication takes the form of a curated take-home time capsule of the experience by capturing moments only possible to remember from memory. As a tangible souvenir, this brief catalogue consists of imagery of modelled vintage garments, including aspects from the virtual space to maintain the same immersive effect as that of the experience.
