COUNTRYSIDE Northumbria University sits in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne, with the beautiful Northumberland countryside just a short distance away. From scenic hiking trails to open landscapes, it’s an inspiring place to relax and recharge. Close to the city centre, Jesmond Dene offers woodland trails and waterfalls, while Leazes Park provides a lake, sports courts, play areas, and a memorial garden. Heaton Park completes the trio with seasonal flowerbeds, a Victorian Pavilion, and the 13th-century ruins of King John’s Palace.
