Born and raised on St. Maarten, Daniella De Windt brings a local perspective to everything she writes. With a background in journalism and feature writing, she now works in communications and marketing for one of the island’s leading beverage companies, combining her passion for storytelling with her passion for authentic Caribbean experiences. Richard Hazel is an all-around island boy whose day job is that of an electronics engineer. In his spare time, he indulges his passion for photography at RTGH Photography. From weddings and events to plane spotting and landscape photography, he loves capturing memories that last a lifetime. Arun Jagtiani’s parents came to the island in 1970 and never left. After living in St. Maarten, Jagtiani moved away to explore other places in the world and returned in 2002. Since then, he’s worked in the local real estate market. In the summer of 2009, he started Island Real Estate Team, which has become one of the largest agencies on the island and has received many awards. The company has since launched a division, IRE Vacations, for vacation rentals. Born and raised on St. Maarten, Andre Dede Knol is a photographer and cinematographer who is passionate about capturing the island’s beauty and spirit. With a background in sports and a love for drones, surfing, travel, fashion, food, and ocean photography, his focus is on creating visuals that tell the island’s stories and elevate its place in the tourism and hospitality sector. A former journalist and journalism graduate, D.A. Robin loves words, media, and publishing. He has written for local and US publications. Born on St. Maarten/St. Martin, he enjoys sharing the top things to see and do with others so they can also fall in love with the island.
