SECONDARY SNAPSHOT SECONDARY SNAPSHOT

TERM 1, WEEK 8 | 20TH MARCH 2026

A MESSAGE FROM MRS REBECCA MATTHEWS

Dear Secondary Families,

As we approach the final few weeks of an incredibly busy term, it’s no surprise that both staff and students are beginning to feel the strain. Assessments, projects, rehearsals and end-of-term activities are all coming together, making this a particularly demanding, but rewarding time of year

At times like these, it’s worth remembering that God calls us to care for the bodies and minds He has given us. In 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, we are reminded that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit meaning rest, nourishment, and balance are not luxuries, but part of faithful living Getting enough sleep, eating well, and making time for prayer and reflection help us to stay steady and focused amid busyness Small, consistent habits often help most when life feels hectic.

Teachers are continuing to provide guidance and structure to help students manage their workload and priorities. Parents and carers can support this by helping students plan study time realistically and encouraging moments of rest and reflection

As a school community, we look forward to meeting with our families and students for our bi-annual Parent-Student-Teacher conferences coming up next week (Tuesday).

As we look ahead to the home stretch, let’s all take a moment to appreciate the learning, growth, and perseverance that have marked this term. With a little self-care and steady commitment, everyone can finish strong and well.

PARENT STUDENT TEACHER CONFERENCES (PSTC)

Parent Student Teacher Conferences will take place from 9:00am – 7:00pm

Please see the attached flyers to book a PSTC appointment and/or register your child for fullday care through Camp Australia.

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST NOW OPEN

These competitions provide an excellent opportunity for students to extend their computational and mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills and perseverance. Both are designed to challenge students beyond the standard classroom curriculum and are best suited for those who enjoy tackling complex, unfamiliar problems and are currently above the expected standard for mathematics.

Cost: $9 per competition (Students in the INSPiRE program may participate at no cost.)

At this stage, we are seeking expressions of interest only. No payment is required yet, and further details will be shared with registered families.
