mission: Empowering the North Natomas community with sustainable transportation choices that reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and advance a thriving community.

We make it easier for our community to replace car trips with walking, biking, and transit. our programs

Jibe to School

Jibe encourages students and families to choose active travel to school through daily Walk and Bike to School programs at all 11 local elementary schools. We support these efforts with on-campus education programs such as Project Ride Smart and Pedestrian Education, along with regular challenges and school-wide events that build awareness and healthy travel habits. In addition, Jibe offers high school students hands-on learning through Bike Tech and Bike Club at Inderkum High School.

Jibe by Bike

Jibe supports biking for all ages and abilities by making it easier and more welcoming to ride. We offer educational programs like Ready to Ride, Basic Bike Care, Advanced Bike Maintenance, and Adult Learn to Ride alongside community events such as Kids Bike Party and Summer Bike Camp. Programs like Navigate Natomas and Earn-a-Bike help residents replace car trips with bike trips and build confidence riding locally.

Jibe at Work

Jibe partners with local businesses to increase visibility through programs, promotions, and grant funding. Initiatives like Saddle Up Saturdays and other collaborations bring diners to local restaurants, boosting foot traffic without parking demand.

Jibe Advocacy and Placemaking

Through beautification projects, community engagement, and participation in local planning efforts, Jibe amplifies community voices and assets. Our work helps make North Natomas a more livable place where people of all ages can choose walking, biking, and transit as part of everyday life.

2025 marked a productive year for Jibe, as we made active contributions toward shared local and regional climate and sustainability goals. We take seriously our role in fostering cleaner air, providing robust mobility options, and enhancing a vibrant community. Our work builds a culture of sustainable transportation in North Natomas.

The landscape of our work is evolving. As we adapt to new commuting habits and growth of emerging neighborhoods, we adjust our programming to meet these new challenges and opportunities. In 2025, we launched our Community Champions initiative, sponsored new vanpools, provided free transit fares, created campaigns to influence attitudes and behaviors, and rolled out new programs to build confidence in getting around without a car. We look forward to building connections, motivating sustainable choices, and strengthening neighborhood partnerships in the year ahead.
