The Spring Lake Wide garage sales will be held on April 27, 28, and 29 this year. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Lake Office. Please fill in your times, days and address. We will print address’ this year so people can try and use their GPS to help find locations. Ads for the Unionville Republican newspaper are due by Friday, April 21st. Maps will be provided at the lake office on Thursday at 1:00 pm. As usual there are no yard signs al-
lowed but balloons, streamers, etc can be used, as well as, photos on Facebook. MDC reminds public to dispose of fish waste responsibly Maintaining public fishing areas for everyone to use and enjoy requires the help of all citizens.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) reminds the public to dispose of waste responsibly when cleaning fish. Each year, MDC receives numerous nuisance complaints of fish waste on the banks around public fishing accesses, especially during the paddlefish snagging season. It’s important for anglers to do their part to keep fishing areas clean for others to enjoy. In addition to using trash receptacles, disposing of fish-cleaning waste
back into the water is allowed. Waste should not be piled up near the water’s edge, and instead should be discarded into deeper water or in the flowing part of the stream. This assures waste cannot wash up to the bank or be concentrated in one area. The paddlefish snagging season for Lake of the Ozarks, Harry S. Tru-
