North AquaCulture was founded in 2021 and has 55 employees
The company was established by a team with over 10 years of experience in designing and construction of land-based fish farms. The team has participated in several of the I argest RAS projects in Norway over the past 10 years, covering different phases such as hatcheries, smolt, postsmolt and grow-out facilities.
Our team consists of project engineers, biologists, project managers, technical designers, site managers, installers, and other professionals with extensive expertise in land-based aquaculture technology and several years of experience in their respective fields. Their backgrounds enable us to customize our deliveries and solutions to your specific needs, ensuring performance requirements and project goals are achieved through close collaboration du ring the design, construction and operational phase of each project.
Ongoing and completed projects:
• 3600-ton grow-out RAS facility (Skagen salmon, North Denmark)
• Biofilter Module for existing post-smolt facility (Lerøy, West Norway)
• lncubation facility (SSF, Scotland)
• Hatchery facility (North, Norway)
• Incubation Contianer Solution (AquaGen, Scotland)
• Research & Investigation RAS facility (University of Stirling, Scotland)
• lnvestigation and study (Biomar, Denmark)
• RAS Unit Container (Greig NL, Canada)
• Biofilter og RAS Module (Lerøy Nord, Norway)
Scalable one section fixed bed filter and degasser module designed for new or existing land-based aquaculture facilities to increase fish feed capacity of 50-300 kg feed per day. Can be customized for different types of aquaculture systems (RAS and FTS-R). The prefabricated one section unit is easy to install and allows for seamless integration while the existing aquaculture facility remains operational.
Scalable 3-sections fixed bed filter and degasser module designed for new or existing land-based aquaculture facilities to increase fish feed capacity of 50-300 kg feed per day. It can be customized for different types of aquaculture systems (RAS and FTS-R). The prefabricated 3-sections unit is easy to install and allows for seamless integration while the existing aquaculture facility remains operational.
Vacuum degasser designed for gas stripping. Gases negative for fish can build up in aquaculture facilities. The vacuum degasser aims to remove CO2 with high efficiency, improving animal welfare.

At North AquaCulture, we offer a wide range of our own produets, as well as spareparts from reliable manufacturers. Our RAS unit (recirculating aquaculture system) is now available in a fully integrated feed container, designed for seamless integration into new or existing land-based aquaculture facilities.
This compact yet powerful system ensures optimal water quality and efficient resource management, boosting production while minimizing environmental impact.

Controlling the temperature of the water in a RAS is crucial for fish health and optimal growth. The containerized design allows the heat exchangers to be grouped together, creating a compact and well-organized system that simplifies installation and maintenance.

The water intake container solution focuses on treating incoming water to achieve optimal water quality before it enters the system. It consists of 3 sand filters, with a flow rate of 3x42 m3/h. The sand filters perform together with bag filters and UV.

Mortality box designed for collecting casualties of fish tanks.
The box is installed next to the fish tank to manage the state of the fish. The box possesses a retractile valve and a removable wall, which allow the dosage of anesthesia and casualties removal by vacuumed suction.

Scalable center outlet PE well designed for new or existing land-based aquaculture facilities. The outlet well presents, and outlet grid whose target is the appropriate movement of the outflow at the same time acting as a barrier for fish. Suitable for fish purging and fish transfers.

PP circular tank designed to support early life stages of fish. Constructed in different sizes, PP is chosen for its robustness and smooth surface, which enhances and simplifies the cleaning process The tank is preassembled at our facilities and transported in sections, which makes on-site installation faster and easier.

Dewatering system unit designed for water recovery during fish transfers.
Efficiently separates and recovers process water, minimizing waste and allowing reuse within the facility.

Our fish PE coupling is designed to ensure smooth and secure transitions between grading pipes or transfer hoses during fish handling operations.
Built for flexibility and durability, it simplifies system adjustments and minimizes stress on fish during transfers.

Scalable crowing net for Purge, designed for new or existing land-based aquaculture facilities. It can be used as splash/jump net, and for gentle fish movement of crowded fish before harvest. The net can be attached to a crane system rail, so it can be raised or lowered into the fish tanks.

Our incubation racks provide a controlled and safe environment that protects the eggs from disease and unstable environmental conditions. They ensure optimal temperature, oxygen levels, and water flow, which are critical for healthy development and higher survival rates of fish after hatching. Scalable structure, designed for new or existing landbased aquaculture facilities.

Automatic belt feeder, designed for research facilities and small production maintenance facilities. Feeding optimizing, adjustable feeding settings; start-stop and feeding periods. Adapted for humid environments.

Smartfeeding for indoor aquaculture systems. The feeder can be installed as a standalone set-up, or it can be a part of a complete feeding system, including silo storage and integrated feeding program. One feeder covers approx. 80% of the water surface.

Specifically designed for feeding in aquaculture systems. One feeder covers approx. 80% of the water surface. Rotatable installation – avoid service work over the fish tank. Easy calibration procedure.

Our Y- strainer is designed to efficiently remove particles from water making it ideal for both process water systems and glycol lines. Built for durability and reliability, it helps protect pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other sensitive components from clogging or damage caused by debris.

Designed specifically for new or existing Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), ur 800L Mobile Tank Mixer is a reliable, easy-to-use solution for controlled ammonia dosing. Ideal for biofilter maturation, performance testing, or boosting nitrification capacity, this mobile unit allows precise mixing and delivery of ammonia at desired concentrations.

Our fixed IBC emptying unit is designed to ensure the safe and stable placement of a chemical pallet tank, directing the chemicals through an internal pipe to an integrated buffer tank. A peristaltic pump provides precise and controlled dosing of the chemical into the target tank or room. An integrated collection tray protects against leaks, while a pull-out drawer simplifies tank replacement and stores couplings.
